Space

Space is a series of photographic compositions that hopes to point at both the spacial relation of the image and the space it is documented in it.

This work approaches visual communication and the experience of space through photography, depicting a domestic setting and combining multiple viewpoints.  The image offers visual elements which, when put together, do not provide a clear idea of the location of the environment where the character is portrayed. This ambiguity opens up a space for questioning assumed ideas related to global North and global South, while suggesting that 'global conversations' are also to be had with oneself, as means of introspection and explorations of inner realms.

This is presented in a evocative language that resonates with the process of memory and emotional responses. John Berger states 'Memory implies a certain act of redemption. What is remembered has been saved from nothingness'
