Carrier Bag Project

Prompted by the Carrier Bag Theory of Fiction, international artist Julieta Aranda and Marina Velez Vago have started a dialogue across cultures around actual and imaginary carrier bags, baggage and the act of carrying. In collaboration with the Centre for Material Culture and the Cambridge Museum of Anthropology, they explored some carrier bags in their permanent collection and archives as entry points to discuss these issues.
